Overview
ESG Ventures LLC (“ESG Ventures,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) develops software products, including Tone Ninja, and operates esgventures.co. This policy explains the information we may process, why we use it, when service providers receive it, how retention and deletion work, and the choices available to you.
Tone Ninja remains in active development. A feature described here may not be enabled in every build. When a feature is not enabled or used, information associated with that feature is not collected through it.
Information we process
Website contact information
When you use our support form, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address, organization, selected topic, and message. Netlify processes the form for website hosting and delivery.
Tone Ninja account information
If you create an account, Tone Ninja may process your email address, authentication identifiers, and a name you choose to share through a sign-in provider. Supabase supports account and backend services. Apple, Google, or email authentication may be available depending on the build and platform.
Patch, LiveSet, and rig information
Tone Ninja may access compatible patch files, LiveSets, amplifier parameters, connection state, settings, and other content you choose to import, create, edit, or save. Connection details and certain working data may remain on your device. Content you choose to sync to an account, including cloud-synced tones, LiveSets, or original import artifacts, is transmitted to our backend service. Locally exported backups are created on your device and leave it only when you choose a destination through the system share sheet.
AI-assisted features
If you choose an enabled AI-assisted feature, text prompts, related patch parameters, requested content, and associated technical metadata may be transmitted to our infrastructure and to OpenAI to provide the requested result. Operational and abuse-prevention records may include a user identifier or hashed IP address, endpoint, plan, user agent, and timestamp. Do not submit content you do not have the right to use.
Purchases and entitlements
Purchases made through Apple are processed by Apple. We may receive transaction identifiers, product identifiers, subscription status, and entitlement information required to validate access; we do not receive full payment-card details from Apple. If a separate web or non-App Store purchase option is made available, Stripe may process that payment under its own privacy terms.
Email and technical records
If onboarding or service emails are enabled, Resend may process an email address and delivery information to send them. Our hosting and backend providers may also process IP address, device or browser type, timestamps, request logs, error logs, and security events to operate and protect the service. The ESG Ventures website does not use advertising trackers.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the website and products.
- Create accounts, authenticate sign-ins, and sync enabled content.
- Provide features you request, including support and AI-assisted tools.
- Validate purchases and maintain product entitlements.
- Send enabled service or onboarding messages and honor opt-outs.
- Detect misuse, prevent fraud, and maintain reliability.
- Meet legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
How information is shared
We share information only as needed with providers that support the requested or enabled function. These may include Netlify for website hosting and forms; Supabase for accounts, storage, and backend services; Apple or Google for authentication and platform services; Apple for in-app purchases; OpenAI for AI-assisted features; Resend for enabled service email; and Stripe for any separately offered web or non-App Store payment flow.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, during a business reorganization or transfer, or at your direction. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention, deletion, and security
Contact messages are retained while we respond and for as long as reasonably needed for support, security, and business records. Account and cloud content is retained while the account remains active or as needed to provide the service. Purchase and entitlement records may be retained for access validation and legal, tax, or accounting requirements. AI and technical records are retained according to operational, security, and provider requirements.
When an applicable deletion request is completed, we delete or de-identify information that is not required for security, legal, tax, dispute, or backup purposes. Residual copies may remain for a limited period in protected backups before routine deletion.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
You can choose not to submit the website form or use optional networked, email, purchase, or AI-assisted features. Device permissions such as microphone or Bluetooth access can be managed in iOS Settings. Email messages that contain an unsubscribe option can be opted out of through that link.
You may request access, correction, account deletion, cloud-content deletion, or another applicable privacy action through the official support page. You may also withdraw consent for an optional feature by stopping its use and requesting deletion of applicable stored information. Some records may need to be retained for the reasons described above.
Children
The website and products are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
International processing
Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. Those locations may have data-protection laws different from those where you live.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as products and practices change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised date.
